After completing a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Gordon traveled to Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer. Here Gordon became interested in housing typology and construction. When he returned to the U.S., he spent several years working as a carpenter to obtain hands on experience in the building industry. He then attended the University of Oregon and completed a Master of Architecture degree. Gordon's responsibilities with the firm include project management, design, drawing and detailing.
